Are ceramic earrings heavy?

Ceramic earrings (and rings) are very lightweight. Ceramic earrings are made of the ceramic decorated part, and the metal earring attachment that holds the jewelry to your ear (a stud post, a hook, or ear clamps for sensitive, unpierced ear lobes).

But, this lightness doesn’t make the earrings fragile or easy to break. Ceramic is considered to be a hard, durable material, and nearly as hard as steel and other super hard materials.
